In the early 1970s, McCafferty experimented with video art using minimal setups and time as a material, an approach that would remain central to his practice. Clouds belongs to his early process-oriented single-channel videos bridging performance, documentation, and conceptual experimentation. It recordsthe observation of clouds drifting across the sky, emphasizing duration and attention.
