In this video, recorded over a two-month period from August 11 to October 8, 2012 (and edited in 2013), McCafferty interweaves footage of himself documenting the making of Multiplicity of Centers (2012) with scenes of his surrounding environment: views of the port from his rooftop, the sky, ocean, and beach, birds, a concert at Hollister Ranch and its landscape, and even the Space Shuttle Endeavour, carried by a transport aircraft as it approached LAX before being transported to the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
All of these moments inform the painting he was working on, as equally important, silent components of his imagery over those two months.
